Engineering the Pack: Our Patented Capacitor Core Packaging Process
Patented technology · 2026-10-22 · 2 min read
Packaging is easy to overlook in capacitor manufacturing, but a core that shifts or deforms in its packaging before it ever reaches a customer can undo careful work done earlier on the line. Our invention patent CN117735019B ("Capacitor core packaging apparatus and method with blade-guided baffles and conveyor," granted 2025) treats packaging as its own precision process rather than an afterthought.
The problem it solves
- Manual packaging is inconsistent. Without guided structure, wrapping and positioning a core by hand introduces variability from unit to unit.
- Packaging materials can deform. Loosely formed packaging shifts in transit, leaving the core less protected than intended.
- Throughput and precision usually trade off. Getting both speed and a tight, stable pack is a real design problem, not just a process one.
How the patent works
A worktable carries groups of staggered baffles, each with a sharp first edge along its upper sides, set into mounting holes in the table, and the baffles can extend up into a working position or retract flush into the table. A first push mechanism on either side of the table drives a push plate toward the center; a second push mechanism at the front carries a clamping assembly with its own push plate that moves relative to the clamp. Together, they position and fold the packaging structure around the core using the baffles' cutting edges as a guide, while a conveyor behind the table assists the operator in feeding and completing each pack. The result is a stable, resistant-to-deformation package, built with a repeatable structure rather than free-hand wrapping.
What this means for you
This patent reflects the same manufacturing discipline we apply upstream in winding and testing, carried through to the last step before a capacitor leaves the factory.
